I did this beer for a competition run on Facebook called the UK Smashoff, it was good fun especially as it is peer judged so I got 10 beers back to judge myself!

I noticed the other day that Saphir is extremely low in cohumulone. I've never bought any.

A SMaSH round sounds like a good idea.

I nearly entered this competition... But the rules confused the hell out of me as to what was or wasn't allowed, and I didn't have time to get organised, so I didn't enter...

But it does look like a good idea for a HBUK competition round.

pretty mild and noble like in character but with some subtle fruity and citrus notes, I get a gentle lemon or lime zest thing with maybe a hint of lemongrass from it. I really like it for lagers etc where you want a traditional flavour but with a bit of extra zing!
