Similar grain bill to my neipa, though with crystal (mine had oats).
I like the sound of cascade with Pacific gem, the nelson sauvin/Pacific gem pale I did a while back was really nice.
And wyeast London ale iii is a fave of mine, gets used in a lot of USA pales, though I’ve only used it in british styles.

It does look good. 7% though!

I'd definitely be looking to take that down to around 5% ... plenty strong enough.
Multi-tasking, easy, drink beer and watch telly.

I'll raise you to 6%.  [rofl]

I can get into enough trouble on 5% beer ... I'll stay with 5%

7% is just a bit too strong really ...

Did a red wine evening a few weeks ago, it was the first time in a very long time, I had forgotten that it's quite a bit stronger than beer ... a bit of a lurch was happening on the way home.

Yeah 5% plenty for me too. My NEIPA was 6% ish and I’d feel two pints of it in the morning.

Me too. Anything over 4.5% and I'm struggling. To be fair, a few too many of anything over 3.6 and I'm struggling the next day.

Struggling the next day ... in my case, a lot of it is to do with getting older, though I hate to admit it.

By the way, has anybody noticed it's Friday ?  Traditionally, Friday is beer night ...

And we're just that little bit older than we were last Friday!! Picked up some cask take-out from the local bottle shop! A couple of Dark Star's coincidentally!!

I can handle a small bottle of a 6% beer. One is enough.   [thumb]

I like the body and richness of a stronger beer occasionally.

We had some brewdog beers a while back at work, jackhammer, the 7% ipa, and punk ipa, which is about 5.5% I think. The punk was like water after trying the jackhammer.

Dark Star ... don't know anything about that one at all.

richness & body of a stronger beer ... me too ... trouble is, I don't like 1

Dark Star is a Sussex Brewery. Just been bought out by Fuller's.

I've got a few High Strength Beers hanging around, including a Rochefort 10 from Christmas. I keep thinking I'll have it as the last beer of the evening but when I get to the end of the evening I don't fancy a big beer. Usually prefer a dram.
