Like the swallows returning to San Juan Capistrano - it's time for us to  return to answering your questions and boy are there a lot and we try and stay on point and not ramble - we try at least! Naturally we have business to conduct as well, but otherwise, we're making like Jeopardy champions and questioning our answers!

Some interesting questions Denny, the YCH hops answer to hop blending was interesting! In the UK this year it has been quite hard to get hold of GOOD Galaxy hops? This may explain why, simply just bad blending?

Thank you.

I suppose that possible, but I wouldn't bet on it.  Do all the places there that carry Galaxy get them from the same distributor?

Most probably will use this one big distributor, strange as one of our preferred suppliers on the forum has even stated they can't get hold of good galaxy hops at present?

I read that Galaxy hops are grown within a small area and last year's hop was badly damaged by a freak hail storm.

I think Charles Faram is the man distributor. Possibly the only distributor, not sure.

As I have said in another thread, I have used galaxy in a couple of brews and they ended up bitter as hell? I wont be in a rush to use it again soon, yes Charles Faram is the main distributor 👍

The beers I've had with Vic Secret have been great, I think it's maybe a more reliable but similar hop. Possibly.

It's not the first time bad galaxy has been mentioned on the forum, but it was interesting listening to the question been asked on Denny's and Drews questions and answers!

I wonder if fake or adulterated Galaxy is being sold? Is a very sought after hop, not much is grown, the last crop was massively reduced.

Yes, we do.  Marvelous AAMOF.  It comes to down to where the place you get them from gets them.
