Haha... Very true... Have 100g, some of which will be going into a porter...

Having done some more reading on this hop it won't be going anywhere where near my porter/stout. 

I have northern brewer, ekg, target, phoenix and first gold (leaving citra off the list for the same reasons as not using Dr rudi!) 

I already have a porter which uses target - the festival kit, so looking for suggestions on hops for porter/stout.

Yeah, I'd stick with your trad porter hops. Not sure NZ varieties would be right

i tried a very nice ipa that had this hop in it. it was a collaboration between the head brewer from wylam brewery and the yeastie boys from new zealand. must say it was very nice. here is what was wrote about it..

I use Challenger and EKG in a stout and they work very well.  You could swap in the Northern Brewer instead of the Challenger.  I think it would be a nice combination.
