Going to try and do this at the weekend too, golden ale with a blend of English and American hops and a nice local yeast.

Looks nice. I've not yet been brave enough to mix US and UK hops, but I think Cascade would work well as it's milder. I've got some unused Willamette in the freezer, what are they like? I've had beer with them in, but not on their own.

Challenger seems to work with anything I put it in with so pretty confident it will be nice and keeping the american hop quantities relatively restrained so they don't totally overpower everything. Willamette is an american grown fuggles originally I believe but I think the flavour is a bit different more fruit and a bit of citrus so somewhere between classic english hops and traditional american varieties which should also help the english and american 'blend' hopefully. Its a classic partner for cascade and features in a lot of IPA/APA commercial recipes with it

Will it actually be golden with 5% crystal 60L?

It'll be good, for sure.

Yeah should be pretty light still, 12EBC according to Beersmith which is in the ballpark I reckon

This one came out very nicely, crisp and refreshing with a decent kick of bitterness and hops on the finish [biggrin]

Bought some Propino off Maltmiller, just to ring the changes really. Was surprised how pale it is, this one is Propino and flaked maize.

I had some propino a while back and got similar results, could be used for lagers etc quite easily I reckon. Nice looking beer anyway [thumb]
