These are from the AHA, nice selection. Dry stout, coconut stout, Chai milk stout, Russian Imperial (based on a Bell's brewery recipe), American stout, oatmeal and gluten free. 

I like the idea of a chai stout.

That's interesting, are you thinking specifically about stouts? I've seen a big move away from crystal malts in pale ales and IPAs.

I noticed it when I was doing some research for a Spitfire clone. Some of the levels of crystal were overt. Yes the trend is to move away from crystal malts but its when our American cousins are attempting to emulate British beers that they have a tendency to be rather liberal with the ol crystal.

Yes, as seen in that dry stout recipe, which has loads in it. Can't really see it being that dry!

That oatmeal stout sounds nice though, I think Clibit has posted it before.

I don’t use any in my house bitter, just a bit of black malt. It doesn’t miss it.
