when i started slanting i could not find any pictures of unhealthy yeast so after i finished slanting my last  batch i opened them a little longer after i harvested the yeast from them and then i saved the dishes for a week in a warm place for experimental purposes to see what would happen. 

pics of the infected slants below the black dots with the cloudy circle around the outside are the infected mold spore sites
