Fantastic, I bet she was impressed😂 Buckie did play a part in my youth and still makes a very occasional appearance much to my wife’s disgust.

I am pally with a couple of Motherwell fans, they have the best Buckie songs

Hey Greg the kids told me their mum is buying booze here to take back to Scotland cos of the price rise up there. Aldi gin doubled in price?!

It was things like cheap cider that got really hammered
Beer is an expression of the human spirit. . . we use technical sciences as a tool to create it but its essence is and always will be a form of art - Handbook of brewing, chapter 2, page 55

Gin doubling sounds pretty heavy.

Going to be nice to have a proper trapist brewery in the UK I usually stock up on trapist beers when I go over the France. Hope there isn't a hefty price tag due to being the only one in the UK tho
I like my water with barley and hops

I meant to check prices today but it was too warm and the beer in my shed was screaming at me. Sorry pal, hopefully I will manage a look tomorrow. I can report that the 1.49 ales in Aldi remain at the same price but a crate of 12 king of beers has gone up to just over 8 squidlies.

Happily there have been no street riots and bread is still freely available😎
