If yours is the one on the right Wobley I recon the head looks a lot better and there is not a lot of difference in colour, just a bit maybe but as long as they tasted good that's all that matters.

Yes my brew is the one on the right. To be honest it had not quite settled out when i took the pick. Head retention was good but being pulled through the beer engine helps a-lot with that.

I'm with Leigh, the one on the right certainly looks more appealing. I guess carbonation can make a big difference with hoppy beers especially.

Nothing in my glass (well, water). had too many yesterday and feeling somewhat jaded today.
trying to kill off my bottle stash as I am bored of all my beer and am starting to brew some new stuff.

Just polished off the last of a batch of Coopers English Bitter.  As usual, the last bottle was the best.
Very hit and miss.

What do you mean new stuff G?.........Are you moving back into the English style Bitters and Pale Ales as opposed to your penchant for citrusy NEIPA's etc.or are you still into heavily hopped ales?

That's always a nuisance when that happens, with the last being the best, makes you think you should have made an extra batch and stashed it away ðŸ‘

Few beers today. Cask Ringwood Boondoggle, pretty good. Bottle of Moorhouses Pendle Witches Brew, ok but draught is better. Then some home brews, all good but nothing standing out as great! Hope I get back on top form soon.

No, but there may have been some Dead Man's Finger coffee rum in there somewhere 😂

Tonight, I've been trying a few of my FE stouts - potent stuff !  It's well conditioned, but because I set the polypin up to be served through a beer engine, the carbonation level is a bit low - solved with a quick blast from the syringe tho 🙂

So, enlighten me. I assume you just suck up some of the beer from the glass with a syringe and then vigorously squirt it back into the drink. Or is it something more complicated?

In a nutshell 🙂  I (and others) call it a "pocket Beer Engine" - I've actually sat there in a Pub in the past using it to inject some life into some lacklustre tap fodder.  With this stout, it gives a lovely, lasting, creamy head - almost like a nitro pour.

Its a tip worth keeping in mind 🙂
