A lot of breweries are dry hopping during fermentation now. And often they do another dry hop post fermentation. I'm not sure how much of this is marketing gimmickry and how much is scientific and effective. But the likes of Cloudwater call their beers things like Citra Ekuanot BBC DDH and hipsters get all frothy at the mouth. 😉

Basically Cloudwater put huge amounts of hops into their beer. Like 25g a litre and more. So maybe the techniques arent aren effective! [rofl]

They do make some really good beers though.

A friend of mine was sent a whole pile of Craft beers from UK, America and other places, brought them round to sample. Some were undrinkable, some just about OK, the only really good one was the Cloudwater. Too many to remember the names but there are far too many beers that smell of pineapple and taste of grapefruit.

I have been enjoying the Cloudwater lagers. The few I have had. Really nice. Good brewing. The head brewer left recently, though, be interesting now to see how they go.

Unfortunately work put paid to bottling day. But on Monday I did manage to fill 4 bottles and the rest went in the PB. The (Cheeky) sample smelt just like the original and tasted lovely.
This Sunday is brew day now. Must keep my hands off the PB as long as possible. The four bottles are going with me on Poker night on the 28th Oct for approval.
