This autumn (yes planning already) I want to do more british style beers.

im going to use London ale iii in some as it’s a great yeast, but want try some other good yeasts too.

what are other people’s go tos for bitters and british style pales?

There's loads tbh, I've restricted myself to a few. 1469, 006 and 002 have all been very good. 

007 and 1275 are popular.

 007 is very clean, but needs rousing you could use it as a finishing yeast too with 1318.

WY1968 is very nice too, there is a WLP equivalent too. Fuller's strain. 1469 is also good as mentioned.

If you're doing pale ales I think 1275 is a great yeast. Provides some understated yeast character but mainly lets the hops do their thing unobstructed.

I haven't tried the beer I made with WLP006 yet but everyone who uses it says it's great.

Thanks guys

Bedford gets good reviews. It seems to be in stock in various places at the mo But I’ll not be buying til late summer. I’ll see what’s in stock then, 1275 looks a good option too, or 002 as the bitter will be loosely based on London pride
