Update on my use of M54.  I am very pleased with the results so far.  76% attenuation.  A nice malty light brew at the end, it should go down well with my punters.

And the final update.  I am pleased with the results, I brewed a lawn mower beer and I got a lawn mower beer.  The yeast is very neutral, it doesn't quite give the lager thing but it's really not far off, there are a few ale-like esters floating round in the background.  I am thinking it would work well in a hoppy golden ale along the lines of Hoppy Hare or something of that ilk.  I would probably use it again.

Edit => slight hints of acidity which is giving the ale character, nothing untoward, somewhat like the hint of acidity that comes with Fischer's lager beers.

Edit II => hints of Kolsch yeast coming through too, reminds me of K97 somewhat but subdued.

Yeah it does a decent job, doesn't it womble? Not a true lager yeast, but makes a good lager type drink.

Yep, happy with the results, all things considered.  I'll be using true lager yeast in the future though.  The results are just smoother.

New brew up, a K97 brew ... waiting for it to chill.
