Hi Clibit, no, I only use dry yeast, mainly US05, S04, Nottingham, got a pack of Mangrove Jacks to brew a california common soon.

I like the reviews of the Crossmyloof yeasts, also very well priced. I will be giving these a try soon.

I don't have the time/patience for yeast starters, rinsing, propogation etc. i just rehydrate dry yeast.

For the styles i brew i find this to be more than adequate.

GHW - I will be able to give a better answer in a couple of weeks, the hops smelt divine, there was definately the normal citrus grapefruity bite to the beer out of fermenter, also very flowery which i guess is due to the freshness. I would imagine they would be a bit different to the cascade grown in the US,

I will let you know.

The hops sound great.

I don't rinse, propagate etc, I just store harvested yeast and make starters, i don't find this particularly time consuming, the only issue is planning a couple of days ahead and getting a starter on. I use dry yeasts too.

Cool. If the cascade are good I may be tempted to put a second plant in. Though presumably it's not a dwarf variety?

No it's not dwarf - in fact for 1st year i couldn't believe how much growth and how many cones i got! I trained four bines, and it grew over my shed and along the fence, i had to double it back on itself in the end.
Next year will probably be bigger.. need to come up with a better trellis system....!
Although i have the plants in large pots, this may inhibit the growth somewhat (hopefully!)

Cheers.
