Ok I’ve started drinking it and I am very impressed, a very enjoyable best bitter style beer. My stepson says it taste like a beer that you would buy in a pub; not bad for a first attempt. C259A337-9DE7-44D8-9E28-C087B8776106.jpeg

Excellent news .... do you know about gelatine finings or is it the first pint out of the barrel ?
Multi-tasking, easy, drink beer and watch telly.

it was bottled, I have since bought some protoflac tablets so going ahead I will hopefully have a clearer beer; although it doesn’t bother me that much it would be more presentable.
I have just bottled another 23 L of the same recipe, this one was 4.5 ABV, the one pictured is 3.9 ABV. I brewed another batch last weekend, this time an ‘Old Peculiar’ clone, the recipe for which I found on this forum; it’s bubbling away quite happily now. I used a saved yeast from a ‘Festival Old Suffolk Strong Ale’ kit that I brewed recently.
Yes it does get addictive, doesn’t it?

Addictive isn't the word. There must be another word that means addictive x10.
