been making Xmas cake this year as the chief cake maker pass away the batton was past to me. managed to have lost the family recipe have a copy somewhere. so I have followed Mrs berries from the BBC website. it looks the biz. so have been feeding two of them brandy this morning. hope they are as good as grandma used to make lol

looks really nice that, pass me the cream..   i remember years and years ago when i was a roofer having to seal up an old army airplane hanger to stop cats and rats getting in ect.. when we went inside it was full to the rafters with boxes and boxes of christmas puds for the supermarkets.  took me by surprise as it was only may/june at the time,   i was told that they needed to condition for christmas so where just left in storage

I've fed my xmas cake with stout too in the past - its rather good [biggrin]

This year, I've got a 2015 Xmas pudding to have a go at ....
Beer is like porn - you can buy it easily enough, but its so much more fun to make it [wink]
