well im sitting here as sick as Fxck!
i allways put my fermenters out in my shed on the concrete floor to crash cool. ive done it for years this way and its worked a treat.
anyway put a pale ale out on friday that needed crash cooling. went out this morning to bring it in to get it kegged this morning. opened the door to see the floor soaking wet and the fermenter empty apart from 3 or so litres. to say im pissed off is an understatement!
i thought to myself "you tit" i must have knocked the tap when putting it in there. on inspection the tap was in two bits on the floor.
Fxcking MICE had chewed the tap.
shut the door and left it . ill deal with it tomorrow and order a new tap.

Gutting. At least it wasn't user error, but those mice will be even less welcome.

 Wow - commiserations Wobley man!

I will be thinking again about leaving brews in the shed after that. It could easily happen in my brewing shed.

I bet those little bu ggers were falling about all over the place.

What a bummer that must have been.
I am off grid until the weekend.

What a nightmare. I keep my grain, pbs and bottles in the shed, but the grain is always in a sealed box. I've never seen mice in there but I know they're about generally as I've caught a few whilst after rats (I live by a railway line so we often get rats about). I'm hoping my cats will buck up their ideas soon and start some proper vermin control in the garden, but mostly they just crap in my veg beds.

It was probably still drunk. If not, you saved it from a terrible hangover.
