COOPER'S ENGLISH BITTER GIVE AWAY DRAW.
This free draw is
open to beginner brewers who are already forum members
. Please don't enter if you are a regular home brewer.
One of our members has three cans of Cooper's English bitter that he doesn't need, and has donated them to the forum for a competition and he will post one to each of three winners. The kits are slightly past their best before date, but this really only applies to the yeast that comes with them under the lid. The malt extract and hopping inside the cans will be fine and dandy. The winners will need to buy a straight forward ale yeast such as Gervin GV12 (Wilkos for about £1.75, and will also need to supply the other fermentables - about a kilo of Dried Malt Extract will make a fine strong brew when added to the content of the can.
If you are a novice brewer
, enter your name into the draw by entering the thread and asking to be counted in.
The donor will post a can to each of the winners.
The winners will be expected to enter the thread to confirm they received the can, and they must then write a brew day report on how their brewday went and also to comment on the beer they get out of it when it is ready within one month of the giveaway start date, the winners will be announced in 14 days from today, failure to comply with giveaway rules will result in automatic barring from future giveaway's/competitions. The donor made this kit a lot of times but went into All Grain Brewing and never got around to using them.
So - if you are a beginner and fancy some Cooper's English Bitter, get in and have a go.
Offer open to UK and NI resident's only

I've done this kit a couple of times and absolutely loved it. It tastes great early and just gets better over time, not that it ever got that much time to be honest. I think I'll pick one up on the next Tesco sale you just can't go wrong it.

If there are no takers I would be interested, I got into AG almost a year ago and before that I had only helped my old dad with some boots, geordie and tom caxton kits in the seventies but I haven't ever done a kit or extract brew myself.

If no beginners are interested, why not open it wider?
Just a suggestion. As long as it is existing members - who cares?
You could even use them with a partial mash. A full volume mash with say 2kg of pale malt and maybe some late hops to add fragrance, would go well with this kit. I'm thinking maybe 50grammes of flame out Centennial .... Would probably come out great.
I am off grid until the weekend.

If we've got no newbies that fancy it, I'll do one myself... I'm sure ill not be the only one interested.
