I'm inclined to say the Maltmiller, for all round quality, service and range. Only gap as far as I'm concerned is that they don't sell Wyeast.

CML is obviously very good for hops and cheap dry yeast.

Anyone got any other recommendations?

My go to supplier is geterbrewed. Their quality and service is spot on.

For me, the advantage is that they sell hops in 50g too. I don't always want 100g, especially if they're not American. I don't have any means of resealing them, so can't keep opened packets for long.

They also sell grains in 500g quantities if needed and up until recently you could get 250g. Not sure how this compares to other suppliers.

That said, I've used the Maltmiller for bits that geterbrewed don't sell and their service and quality has been great too, but the range and hop options just edges geterbrewed for me.

Good points there. I would like to able to get 500g packs of malt and 50g hops from MM. It has caused me to use HBC a lot in the past. MM, HBC and Geterbrewed all have their strong points, always a tricky decision!

Never used HBC, though I know they are well liked. I must use CML more for hops as their range is excellent, but I normally end up tagging some on a geterbrewed order to make the postage more reasonable.

My go to supplier if CML for hops I don’t think these guys can be beat tbh on price and service, wish they only done grain though! All my grain still comes from HBC, don’t bother with hops from them as I did have a couple of packets turn up with no labels on them 👎 what use are they ? But they do supply wyeast so that’s a bit of a bonus.

Maltmiller for best all round service, quality and reliability plus speedy delivery although I actually think their range is slightly lacking compared to others

Either of the Irish companies for best price overall and choice IMO although had the odd issue with both for missing items etc but usually easily resolved

CML for filling the gaps with hop orders and dry yeast the free postage really makes them a go to option in this respect

Used BrewUK and a few others occasionally but most of my money goes between the 3 above

I've had fewest issues with brewuk though they are neither the cheapest or have the best range.
Hbc has a good range of everything but I've had loss of issues with their service, usually stuff missing from orders.
Only used cml once but frankly amazing service and good prices, will use them for most hop purchases if they have what I need.
Malt miller, nice people and good service but range limited v competitors.
Geterbrewed tend to have hops in stock when others don't (esp stuff like galaxy, nelson etc). But range overall is limited.

I think there's a chance for one of them to step up and really nail it. Hbc could do it, just need to sort service issues. Brewuk too maybe, but they are a bit pricey.

Guys can I right in thinking CML is crossmyloof and you have to order via their eBay store ?

To date I've used mainly these guys. Been good so far.

My orders float between BrewUK, Malt Miller and CrossMyLoof, with occasional forays elsewhere for specials or when an attractive price comes up.  If I could only ever use one supplier again tho, it would be Rob/MM for me - consistantly good service and product, although not the cheapest.
Beer is like porn - you can buy it easily enough, but its so much more fun to make it [wink]

Yes robin that's right, though I'm not sure if they have eBay, it's Facebook messaging and PayPal that they use.

You can just email them, or send them a PM on here, to place an order.

Yes - I think the direct prices are a bit cheaper though. I emailed Steven:    doorstep1@live.co.uk
